Huron Fire Department - Response Call to Olsen Implement

Huron Fire Department responding to a “Suspicious white powder” call at Olsen ImplementDue to a strong odor emanating from the unknown substance, the business was evacuated for the day. The substance was cleaned up as good as possible and a sample sent to the State Health Lab in Pierre for testing. The laboratory technicians did not quit that day until they had determined that the substance was not hazardous to health.

We received that phone call at 11 pm that evening. Olsen Implement opened, as usual, the next morning. It was never determined where the substance originated from.
